Christmas Tree

This tree must have been returned to Macy's at some point. The pakage was clearly retaped and the branches of the tree were twisted. The top was also frayed with some of the needles missing. But I worked with the branches and the tree will woek well next Christmas. Not as lovely as it probably once was and certainly not as lovely as the picture.

Cute but a "mixed bag" purchase

This is a cute little tree which I bought in the after-holiday sale for use next year. I think it will eventually look nice where I plan to use it. However, I found myself wishing there were a few more lights on the tree (there are dark spots) and was very surprised to see that the colors of the lights were odd, to say the least. Somehow I didn't expect orange, lime green and purple lights (along with a few very bright blue ones) on a Christmas tree. Made me wonder if it was supposed to be a Halloween tree! I will try to replace the bulbs with more suitable colors if I can. Unfortunately the manufacturer provided no information as to the size and voltage requirements of the bulbs. A chat with a customer service rep was not all that helpful since he claimed that one can only use their proprietary replacement bulbs (which are quite expensive). He did not (could not/would not?) give me any help at all in trying to determine which size bulbs I should even try to order.
