worth the wait!

hinkleylighting.comFirst of all these are some type of plastic… not metal as they look!! They are marketed as a tough and heavy duty coating to withstand the outdoor elements but you can pull the finish off with a piece of painters tape... this happened to me. I also dropped the backplate at about 3 feet off the ground by accident and it chipped, I can scratch the finish off with a nail and not a lot of pressure. They are expensive a a junk product. I am severely disappointed. The underside of them is a stark white which is not aesthetically pleasing. I absolutely hate the light but I purchased every other light for the exterior of my home to match this light and I bought them over 6 months ago and don't want to go through the process of rebuying all new lights. These are such poor quality I am certain they will not last a year. I bought 6 of these lights in all 3 sizes for our barn build and all 3 sizes are the same crappy material and quality. I also purchased the Sag Harbor light which I am also not pleased with but it is better than the Forge. I will never buy Hinkley lights again. I will never buy a Hinkley lights again.

I would have returned the light but I have to get the job done. It's cheap quality. The shade is made from plastic. The gooseneck already had rust. I wish I would have returned it. Maybe the company can reimburse some of the cost.
