        The platform is plastic and can be fully submerged underwater, however if you put substrate in the top of it and submerge that fully it may make the water muddy.

        Perfect height!

        I love this item! It was so easy to put together. Missandei loves it already! It’s the perfect height for her home while basking. It’s plastic, so the material may not be favorable for everyone. However, it’s easy to clean and remove. I also applied some alien tape to hold the flat piece with the tray piece better. I’m waiting for a basking stone to come in to put it in the tray. Highly recommend!

        Better products are out there

        Pros: -When it works, it heats the water. Neutral: -Digital temp. display (Pro: convenient! Con: brightest light in the room at night - kept my turtle awake and active and kept me up.) Cons: -First heater stopped working within 24 hrs. Chewy promptly sent a replacement (thanks!!! A+). The second one worked until I got sick of it and replaced it with a regular fish heater after 6 months... -LOUD! This heater has a high pitched whine whenever it kicks on, kept me, turtle, dog, and cat up at night. (Yes it was installed correctly, submerged, and clean) I can only imagine how loud it was for Turtle underwater. -Hassle to clean. The fancy plastic blades to make it look like a fan are a pain to get around to scrub all then parts or wipe the heating element clean. -I feel guilty just giving it away. Dont waste your patience or money. A regular fish heater and seperate thermometer was actually a peaceful and welcome upgrade.

        Pan wasn't as deep as I was thinking

        I got this for my paludarium my son gave me . I thought the pan for the substrate was deeped than it was so I could have plants there as well but ,im working it. But it could be a deeper pan than it is.

        The sizing listed is WAY off.

        I'm not mad because it's a lot larger than I was expecting, but if you need a specific size, I can tell you that the LARGE is actually 16.25 inches long, 9.75 wide, 12 inches tall, and the tray is 2 inches deep. I don't know if the small measurements are accurate because I only purchased the large. Hope this helps!
