Can this be used with the Zoo Med Halogen Splash-proof lamp?

The Zoo Med Economy clamp lamp cannot be used with a splash proof halogen bulb, the bulb runs too hot it will damage the socket.

Can this be used with a ceramic bulb?

The economy clamp lamp cannot be used with a ceramic heat emitter, the heat emitter will melt the socket. The ceramic heat emitter needs to be used in the wire cage clamp lamp only.

Opened the package (the package was not damaged at all mind you) and the it has a massive dent in it. It works fine but was damaged before it was even packed, very disappointing.

Lovely lamp, doesn't heat up & good clamp

My bird doesn't get any sunlight due to the location of my apartment's windows. A friend suggested I get this very lamp and it has been perfect. One tiny hook and the clamps are secured to the hook hanging over the cage. Doesn't get hot.
