Pet Adobe Double Door Crate - Honest Review
I recently obtained the 42-inch Pet Adobe Double Door Folding Metal Dog Crate and have some mixed feelings about it. The size is great — it’s spacious enough for most medium to large dogs and includes a divider for crate training puppies, which is a nice feature. It also comes with a handle for carrying, although due to the crate’s overall size, moving it around is still pretty awkward. That said, the build quality leaves something to be desired. The wire feels thinner than what I’ve seen in similar crates, and there was noticeable damage on one corner of the crate right out of the box — though the packaging itself was completely intact, so it may be a quality control issue. The doors also feel a bit flimsy, and the latches can be harder to open than other crates I’ve used. This crate will work just fine for dogs that are calm and crate-trained, but I wouldn’t recommend it for dogs that are kennel destructive or prone to escape attempts. Overall, it’s functional and will serve its purpose for the right type of dog, but don’t expect heavy-duty durability. I would definitely give this crate a chance if you know that your dog behaves in crates though!
Very easy to set up and would be good for travel.
The best part about this crate is how easy it is to set up. It folds down flat and you just unfold it to set it up and secure the metal tabs on top. Would be excellent for travel! I also like that there is a door on the long side and the short side. Makes placement easier when there are those options. It does feel a tiny bit flimsy and might not be great for a wild or determined dog but good for a pup that is crate trained. We'll keep using it for our dane pup until she outgrows it.
Dangerous
I got this crate for my dog to use at night for his bed and while not at home. This crate arrived bent, is very flimsy, and the bottom welds are sharp. I do not recomend this crate at all it is not safe. It is so flimsy any dog could easily get its paw's trapped under the doors causing a lot of potental injuries. I have had many wire crates and this crate is by far the worst I have every seen.
Kennel for on the go
Easily collapsible for traveling or cleaning. The two doors make it accessible from multiple sides, which allows the kennel to be put in multiple places. The tray slides out to make ease for cleaning and traveling.
Great crate & our lab loves it!
Sturdy crate, easy to put together & the perfect size for our lab! Freddy immediately went in, sniffed around, sat down & then started moving his blanket & some of his toys in there! He is napping in the crate now & prefers it to his previous crate!
