How long do I have to place the light on the bird? the whole day every day?

Is a bulb included with the lamp? If not which one is recommended.

The lamp does not include a bulb. This floor lamp is designed for use with Zoo Med’s Avian Sun™ 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp. This unique lighting arrangement will provide birds with safe levels of beneficial UVB and UVA for physical and psychological health.

How tall is this lamp? Is it adjustable? I have a slightly taller cage setup…?

This lamp stands 68 inches tall. It has a fully adjustable gooseneck for use in almost any position.

Is this the new improved design lamp in the black box, or the older model?

Wonderful light for my birds!

bulb filament already out

The bulb that came with, one of the filaments is already out and I’ve only used it a week. Haven’t had it on more than an hr or two a day. The lamp itself is a little wobbly but easy enough to put together. Will update review if lightbulb is replaced.
