Does the bulb need to be changed out every six months like standard UVB bulbs?

The manufacturer recommends replacing the bulb in this hood every 12 months.

Does this also provide heat or do I need a basking lamp as well

This fixture does not provide heat, it provides UVB exposure and bright, visible light.

Is this light rated for damp locations? I would like to use it inside of a paludarium.

This is the ideal light fixture for paludariums, large terrariums, planted terrariums, and any species that benefits from UVB exposure and bright, visible light. This includes the ReptiSun® 5.0 T5 High Out lamp for safe and effective UVB and bright light for improved color rendering. Please note, the UVB lamps should be replaced once per year.

Arrived broken

I called about the light being broken and was told I would receive a refund as it was out of stock. I have not received the refund nor has the item restocked to be replaced. Not happy

Zero instructions for suspension

This is more Zoo Med than Chewy but there are no real instructions on the suspension kit. There are 5 unique items, mostly in quantities of two, and they mention 2. There is nothing to identify which items are what and I have no idea how to assemble. Way too much money for an item to not have sufficient instructions. Do not recommend. I know Zoo Med is not the best quality and I'm realizing why. Frustrated, annoyed and disappointed.

Combination of of led and uvb all in 1 unit..love!!!!

Red light

The red lights dont seem to work. Ive been meaning to return it. I cant say if id recommend it. The rest of it works good.

Excellent light

Awesome light without heat. Low profile. The unit has two power cords, one for the LED and one for the UVB. There are three toggle switches, one for the UVB bulb one for the blue LED and one for the white and red LED. replacement LED modules are available if needed.
