I like that you can use as a barrier or a playpen. Is very elegant looking and would not be an eyesore in any home. It is lightweight (enough) that if you are going to the park or to visit someone else's home and need to have a safe containment area or barrier for your puppers, you could take along with you. It's design makes it pretty stable as a barrier, (like a doorway or open area between rooms) BUT if you have a larger or overly excited baby (that is going to jump up against the gate with a lot of force repeatedly) I would, as an added safety measure, make sure that at least half of each end panel is able to be up against a wall (or some solid immovable area) to ensure it will not be knocked over.. The gate panel has 2 sliding locks which is great as extra safety. I think this is a great product as far as quality/ appearance/ versatility (it can be opened so is 6 panels wide or easily, partially folded and used if area is not that wide) and also again, can be set up as a playpen.
