This bed is very beautiful, solid, real wood. The outer box came a little damaged HOWEVER it was so well packaged that there was no damage to the bed or nightstand at all! Once I got the 111lbs box into the house I was able to assemble the bed and nightstand within about 2 hours by myself. All necessary tools come with the hardware. Assembly was easy.
