Mattern Vinyl Task Chair

The chair meets my needs. The delivery was disappointing and a struggle. I expected front door delivery. We have a long uphill driveway. The box was left at the foot of the driveway. The box was too big for my Cadillac crossover. I had to unpack this enormous box at the foot of the driveway and load the pieces into the car. My husband was not pleased with the issue of the box. The day prior to delivery we received a delivery of an item from Perigold. The delivery men came to the front door, unpacked the item, carried it upstairs and took the packing away. I expected the same service with the chair. Bummer. The "some assembly required" was tricky. The screws included to fasten the arms to the back were too short. I fussed with the issue for too long before hitting my neighborhood Ace Hardware for longer screws.

Looks great, works great, assembly was reasonably simple. Good product.

I love this chair, it goes prefect with the computer desk we already have. The assemble was pretty easy.

Great looking chair, solidly built and comfortable. Has a “retro” look that is very attractive. A bit difficult to assemble due to accessibility of bolts under the seat…. However once assembly was completed, the end result was very nice! I’m happy with this purchase.

I specifically asked whether the casters would be the antiqued brass casters shown in the first picture or the plastic casters shown in the later pictures. I was told they were the antiqued brass casters. They were in fact the plastic casters. The rest of the chair is fine and it wasn’t worth the hassle of returning but I will be swapping out the casters myself. I’ll also point out that the chair frame doesn’t fit great with the back either, so the manufacturing process could be better as well.

Harder to put together than expected but its a nice chair

Chair arrived with no flaws. Assembled as expected. Nice looking chair, exceeds expectations.

Chair is great. It was easy to put together, however, I expected the leather to be real leather, not the bonded stuff. I had to replace my last chair only because the "bonded leather" started peeling all over the place.

The arm joint broke on the first day.

Perfect chair! :-) Fits the desk well. The low arms make it so you can roll chair in, under the desk. My husband loves the chair too!!
