It took me about 4 hours by myself. Directions were good but the video was most helpful. Will it last 10 years, probably not but it's fine quality wise. I'm not hard on my stuff and it was fairly easy to put together. The worst part was the "locking" drawers - HUGE pia. If you don't have kids, and can figure out how to rid the cabinet of the hooks, it will make assembly much easier. It took me almost an hour to get the drawers in properly. The unit came together easily. Following the pictures and previous review suggesting you be aware of the different size pegs was helpful. The drawers were the easy part fitting the center piece that separated the two column of draws was interesting as was the top brace for the draws.
