I am very pleased with this shoe rack. It surpassed my expectations. I like the wooden shelf on the top rack for whatnots. I encountered a self inflicted issue with assembly. Make sure when you put the wood shelf together the holes are are facing up and in the same direction I missed seeing this and because I used an electric screw driver I ended up stripping the screws when I had to remove them. This caused a lot of head ache to say the least. You can avoid this by paying attention, reading the instructions and using the Allen wrenches that come with shoe rack. Pretty great shoe cabinet. Fits my husband’s large size 12 mens shoes! We previously had three different baskets for shoes and this fits all of them! We are able to store almost every pair of my daughter’s shoes (toddler size 89) and all of the shoes my husband and I wear regularly (women’s size 9). We currently keep about 18 adult pairs and 14 toddler pairs of shoes in this cabinet! The handles are very rose gold, I plan on trying to rub and buff them to get them closer to a gold brass finish to match the hooks we have in our mudroom. It took a little while to figure out how to adjust the doors so they were just right. One star off because it arrived with a few damaged edges (see pictures), but it wasn’t bad enough for us to want to send it back.
