This is a nice shoe storage bench if you have limited space front door area for guests to have a seating area to put shoes on. The assembly instructions could be a little bit better. Very nice and fits exactly where I need it. The padded top is very nice. The bench is sturdy to sit on but would not withstand a heavy person or kids jumping on it. Very nice storage. Putting it together was slightly tedious and may be easier with 2 people. I assembled it alone and got through it. The instructions are fairly easy to follow but I recommend reading through them first before starting. It doesn't mention adding in the optional slat that provides double storage before assembling the shelf to the base. It fit my Nike Air Maxes okay but a bit snug. Great product turned out well, shoe space is much more tidy. Instructions were not clear on which way the plastic stoppers went in, I realized I put them in upside down a few steps later and they are impossible to get out to flip around, but it's not really too visible..
