For the price this desk is quite nice. I wasn’t expecting it to be the best quality but I took the risk knowing that I would be “customizing” it. The stock picture makes the legs look white but they are not white....they are matte silver. That didn’t bother me since I was going to paint them gold anyways. I really can’t complain since other high gloss desks are upwards of $200-$400.
A couple things to note:
The directions are pretty bad but if you have ever built Ikea furniture then you should be fine. I have a lot of experience with Ikea builds so this wasn’t a huge problem for me.
The cam locks are very cheap and weak grade aluminum so they strip easily.
There were several extra screws which I never figured out what they were for. I have every possible hole taken so these are a mystery to me.
The gloss is really nice but does not cover ALL edges. The desk top and drawer fronts are gloss and the other sides are not. Not a big deal in my opinion but want to point it out.
The wood that sticks out under the desk (back) was showing with 2 holes where the cam locks are. They do provide white stickers to cover them but the stickers where pretty obvious. So what I did is take marble contact paper and covered the entire board. I think that it adds a nice unexpected detail plus covers that rear board up nicely.

Great desk!
Ok—I was very skeptical about purchasing this desk because of all of the negative reviews. BUT; I went ahead and bought it anyway because it was exactly what I was looking for (after I spray painted the legs gold) and it was easy on my pockets compared to similar desks. Now, I KNOW that I am not one for building furniture, I know that boyfriend is also not one for building furniture. So in order to save some frustration I asked my cousin who’s more familiar with handy work to assemble it for me. The instructions were in Chinese however he was able to use the pictures and some common sense as a guide. There were a couple steps that he knew didn’t make sense, so he followed his common sense instinct and it was assembled within an hour! He said “it wasn’t that bad” after I gave him a good warning about the difficulty. I took the advice of another buyer and laid marble contact paper over the back panel to cover the exposed holes and add a touch of “glam”. Overall, I LOVE this desk and would purchase it 100 times over. You just need to lay all of your pieces out, take a few deep breaths, always use common sense and go piece by piece. My cousin assembled the legs, then the sliders for the drawers and brought it all together. Mid way, I was able to apply the contact paper and that also was a breeze! Five stars for the desk itself, it looks very high end. Three starts for assembly.

BEWARE: not ikea clarity instructions! Frustrating at times...but hopefully assembly pix here add some help. (?)

I put this desk together with my 4 year old who is becoming a furniture assembly queen herself. ( it's a puzzle, of a fun sort for her.)
Anyhow, i love the shiny white finish on the desk. Back side/ stabilizer mdf has raw edges making desk seem cheap. You can only see it from below desk...but still. The devil is in the details. Speaking of which, drawers do NOT line up perfectly. Drives me a bit crazy...(misalignment was not my fault) but I'll get over it...eventually.
One drawer bottom came cracked and drawer insides a "bit" on the flimsy side. Like plastic hammer-in plugs holding it together.
Overall, still happy with purchase as desk is perfect proportion and visible surface finishes are pretty, at a decent price.
Shipping took 9 days JUST to send item out...plus delivery time.
(Chair and light also amazon purchase).

It’s been several days since I have received the desk and omg it’s amazing! I love the glossy finish, makes it easy to clean makeup residue. I used this desk as my Vanity for my makeup. Perfect size and great value for the price! I was a little concerned because I’ve read so many reviews stating it’s difficult to assemble but don’t be afraid, it’s not bad at all! My sister personally assembled It for me (no expertise at all) and she did it less than 2 hours. The instructions were inconvenient since they didn’t have written steps (just pictures) but it’s straight forward. Get it, you won’t regret it!

Not worth over $200.. it’s fragile.

It looks really nice! But, my only problem was it’s very fragile, I accidentally cracked it with a drill and I know it says not to use a drill but I did cause I have really sensitive fingers to stew it by hand.. also it was a little smaller than I expected but that’s fine, it’s quite wobbly and I don’t know if it’s going to last me very long but it’ll do for now. Don’t think it was worth over $200 at all..KenzieNot worth over $200.. it’s fragile.
