Makes the room!
4 out of 5 stars
Makes the room!
I was prepared for a major assembly headache based on reviews but everything went together seamlessly even though I assembled entirely on my own. No power tools-- just my trusty screwdriver and hammer. Looks great in my dining room. My only complaint is that the thin backing doesn't really give this as much stability as it needs. I am going to add some planks to the back to make it a little less wobbly as I imagine over time that could become more of a concern!

I live in Hawaii and I was worried about this item being shipped. However, packaging was great and no pieces were damaged. All instructions (pictures only) were easy, but be careful on assembling since some pieces may not match up because it could be the wrong way. Other than that, I am very pleased with the look. If you have children, be sure to secure - a bit wobbly, but I will add something in the back of the bookcase to improve sturdiness.

WATCH OUT.... some screws are too long and will damage the exterior appearance, as it so happened with mine. Hence the reason why I suppose they give you white round stickers to cover the damage.... ugh! Very disappointed and returning it is too much work. Out $190 and have to pay to take it to the dump!

Shelves arrived with major physical dings in them. Would return but it's just too much work! Super disappointed.

Great for my kids play room. Just a bit of a pain to put together
Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2016
I love the way this bookcase looks, but it had to be absolutely the most annoying thing I have ever assembled. I'm no stranger to assembling furniture from online, but this was something else. It feels pretty solid but could be sturdier. The instructions are awful, they're just tiny pictures and no words anywhere in the booklet. The pages weren't even stapled together so I had to keep putting the directions back together in order. My girlfriend and I literally had no idea how to put the drawers in but we eventually figured it out. However, the lower white cabinet door just would not go on. We followed the pictures and tried multiple times and nothing worked, the hinged pushed the door too far to the left for it to close. We ended up leaving it off since it looks fine without it. We love how it looks now that its all together, its really minimalist and clean looking.

Update: this thing has completely fallen apart over the span of 8 months. We moved 30 minutes away and since the move it’s gotten more and more wobbly, eventually one of the legs snapped off the bracket somehow and we had to take all the legs off. Bottom door panel still won’t attached. It now sits in our pantry untouched, a complete waste of how much money is cost just to be subpar.
