Great little product! It's a wonder of the modern world that a company on the other side of the world (and not China) can make a profit on a piece of furniture they sell for $60! (Shouldn't we be able to make these in the US?)
yes, it requires assembly; expect 1-2 hours. And yes, you have to follow the directions; but you don't even have to know how to read because there are no words!
And for anyone complaining about it being too small; dimensions of the piece are shown clearly on the Amazon site. yes, you have to take out a tape measure and see if the dimensions fit your needs before hitting the purchase button.
But the product is a wonder of modern engineering and manufacturing. Perfectly engineered and fabricated so mere mortals like us can assemble with simple tools, creating a solid little piece of furniture. Even the number of nails provided for the back was well thought out. After the corners are nailed in, there's an odd number remaining for each side. So you can eyeball pretty accurately the placement of each remaining nail by simply splitting the difference between the two on either side. Brilliant!
And remember, it's a $60 piece of furniture. Think Ikea. Don't expect an heirloom.

Very small and useless
The night stand is completely smaller than expected it’s nice material but not a realistic size for bedroom night stand. I’m disappointed for the price point of the item it’s soooo tiny it’s makes my other furniture look weird compared to it it’s was after we build we saw how completely small it was. I have a picture next to my bedroom door and you see the comparison.

The instructions on the paper did not line up with the actual pieces, almost like it was for a different product. So it was a bit difficult to assemble with them. Also the size is very small, I should have read the dimensions before purchasing because as you can see, next to my bed it appears very tiny. The quality is decent, if your looking for a cheap (and very small) side table, here you go.
