Gorgeous But Not Great at Reclining - Wants to Spring Back Up

I love the way this chair looks. Super pretty, dark but bright green. It was very easy to assemble as well. It is a good size for a petite female. However, larger people or maybe even average sized, especially men, will likely feel it is too small. Overall, for me, I’m happy with the size and love the way it looks. However, as I tried to show in my photos and the video, it has what I consider to be a pretty major problem, namely that when you try to recline, you have to physically hold the back of the chair down with your body weight. You can use the footrest for leverage to a certain extent. But for me, this means that I cannot comfortably recline at the angle I want. The seat is pushing back on me, trying to sit back up straight. If I don’t have my feet braces, it will just push back up. That being said, I don’t plan to return it because of the other features and because I will probably mainly sit on the couch. If you are looking for a real, comfortable recliner, rather than a fashionable chair that has a footrest and somewhat reclines (it does recline some on its own when the footrest is out), don’t buy it. If you are more looking for a pretty accent piece for company and to supplement what you have already, it’s good for that.

Love these purple velvet chairs. Not huge. A slim chair but love that it reclines a bit. I only don’t like that dust seems to gather under the chair and on the silver bottom so another thing to keep clean but not a big deal.
