Even the listing photos aren't consistent in color and it was a bit hard to discern exactly what I would be getting until it was here. Many large dining tables are made by attaching several sections, and the fact that this one is not was a major reason I chose it. The delivery arrived on time, and after unpacking, I found no scratches or damage caused during delivery. Assembly was the quickest and easiest out of all the furniture I’ve purchased so far. That said, the table is extremely heavy, so you either need to be quite strong or have another person help with lifting. Personally, I like the weight, it makes the table feel very sturdy and high quality. There are some minor drawbacks, such as small scratches on the legs and tabletop, and a few areas that don’t feel perfectly smooth or fully polished. Weathered Natural

This extendable dining table is a welcome addition to any dining room or eat-in kitchen. Thanks to its removable leaf, this rectangular table seats anywhere from six to 10 people comfortably: Think of all the holiday dinners you'll be hosting.

Update December 2025: with minimal use and a protective cover, this table has issues with the top. The inlay seemed to shrink? I added a photo of the gap. I only found out today when I removed the cover (it was time for a new one, which I have done once before because, again, minimal use). I am not even sure how to fix this... .... To be fair, this was just delivered. The table is solid and hefty. The color is very dark, almost a gray black, which is fine by me. You definitely need 2 people to put this together - I opted to have installation and I don't regret it! The table is big even without the leaf (see pic with chairs - yes, I have 8 chairs but took 2 out for a better pic). Either end space doesn't pull up close to the table because of the legs, but when you sit in the chair it is very comfortably spaced. Under the table, when sitting on the side chairs, it is very comfortable too, with decent elbow room (yes, even whithout the leaf and 3 chairs per side). Like others said, around the top's edge is a gap so you might need toothpicks to clean the groove, but it isn't obnoxious. The leaf gap is tight with the clamps in place, so that is also good. The extension mechanism is a chain wheel so it is smooth to pull apart. That said, i would assume it needs to be checked every so often. I can't speak to that since I just got the table.. Sheri. This works great and creates an extended gathering and eating area of my kitchen! When sitting on a counter-height stool/bench, there’s tons of leg room while feeling properly seated. Table turned out great but in step 1, not all the screws aligned and 1 of 6 across did not end up screwing in.
