We love our new island stools! We’ve had them a couple weeks now. They’re the perfect height to achieve the low-profile look we wanted. The seats are firmer than they look, which is a good thing in my opinion. My husband assembled them in about 40 minutes with a needy toddler periodically interrupting (I was cooking). He said assembly was easy and he thinks they look even better than the product photos. The only downside is that the “swivel” is a bit tightnot super smooth. Not sure if he tightened something too much or they just need a little WD-40 Regardless, we love them, they look fabulous in our space, and our almost 4 year old has no problem getting up and down.
