It was perfectly boxed and when I opened it, I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. All I had to do was put the 4 feet on it, that was it. The quality is beyond what I would’ve ever expected. It was meticulously made, the stitching is beautiful. The color is beautiful and it looks and feels like real leather. As you can see in the picture, it’s almost an identical match to the leather loveseat that we currently have. There’s a huge amount of storage , and it’s very sturdy to sit on as well as being comfortable. We have an ottoman that is leather and we paid $700.00 9 years ago with $100 delivery charge. The cost of this ottoman and the quality with a two day delivery is unheard of. I highly recommend this ottoman, it is beautiful and I’m so pleased with this purchase. Amazon has done it again, I’m never disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about the Avalon Storage Ottoman in Stone Grey — easily one of the best furniture purchases we’ve made in years.

First, the **color** is absolutely stunning. The stone grey is that perfect soft, sophisticated neutral — not too cool, not too warm, and it somehow works beautifully with every style we’ve thrown at it: modern, Scandinavian, transitional, even our slightly boho living room. It reads more expensive than it actually is (and the price is already excellent).

The **build quality** is impressive for the category. The upholstery is thick, durable linen-blend fabric that feels luxurious and has held up flawlessly to two toddlers, a large dog, and weekly family movie nights. No pilling, no pulls, no fading — even in a sunny room. The stitching is clean and even, and the piping gives it that polished, high-end look.

Storage? **Massive.** We can fit two large throw blankets, four floor pillows, a whole stack of board books, two Nintendo Switch cases, charging cables, and still have room to spare. The hydraulic lift is buttery smooth and has that satisfying soft-close — no scary slams, no pinched fingers. It opens and closes hundreds of times and still feels brand new.

Best of all, it’s genuinely **comfortable** to sit on. At 18.5" high, it’s the perfect height for our sectional, and the padded top is firm-yet-cushy — great for extra seating.

Purchased this for additional storage, style and looks. It met all those requirements. It is well made, very sturdy. Hinges are sturdy. Inside compartment is the full length of the ottoman, and not compartmentalized. It has 4 short legs that screw right into the bottom. No tools required. I think this is an exceptional value and recommend this item for any one in need of a storage bench with comfortable seating, and yes it is comfortable to sit on.

UPDATE: August 30th, 2015. I just rec'd my second Simpli Home Storage Bench (Ottoman). These are so well made, sturdy, attractive, functional, and priced very reasonable for the quality. The first one I bought, I use in the bedroom at the foot of the bed. loaded with sportsman's gear. Having most of the time anywhere between 100 to and 150 pounds in it. Equally distributed of course. On top of that, I sit on this comfortable bench while getting dressed every morning. I can stand on this bench while cleaning the ceiling fan. The bench looks as good today as the day it was delivered.
My second one arrived, now I have a new ottoman in my living room, almost the length of a big overstuffed Linen sofa that doesn't recline. And a place to store about a dozen or so Throws. And although pleather. It matches my other leather sofa and chairs very well. Great product. Really well made. I couldn't recommend a product more than this one for overall price, value, functionality, and quality. Oh, and it is pre-built. Just screw in 4 little legs. 5 whole minutes if that. Amazon Prime gets it there fast and free too.
