The wood is real and strong. The finish is perfect, in between unfinished and glossy. It was missing two bolts for the top board but I think the four included will be enough. Just like it is in picture. Great asset to newly remodeled room. I still need to accessorize, but the console is heavy/good quality and I assembled in about 30min.
