This is perfect as a sewing desk work station plus there's room for my work laptop. It was very easy to put together. The only negative was delivery which they don't have much control over. It was delivered on time but for some reason the guy didn't use a hand truck and then dropped it on the cement saying that it was really heavy. Looked great after it is all put together. Tough to put together because there was a step that needed 2 people. And not all the parts were clearly numbered. I missed a step where one of the backsplash thingies was supposed to align a hole to something but since that part was more decorative than structural, I just created a hole where the screw was going to be. Love this desk! I got the WoodBlack style and it looks great. The directions are well written with included tips to make sure each piece you’re working with is installed facing the correct direction. The manual includes step by step instructions for four different orientations, so you don’t have to worry about building it backwards if you want it facing the other direction. I was able to put this together on my own in a few hours without difficulty, though the box it comes in is about 100lbs, so moving it or going up stairs without unpacking it can be an awkward pain if you don’t have help.. My daughter’s new bedroom is tiny so we are trying to make it cozy but functional, making the most of the space we have. The desk fit perfectly. Took a long time to assemble, lots of parts, picture instructions which are sometimes confusing. Rough edges under the shelves so be careful. It cut my fingers when assembling. Could not figure out the one smaller piece on the upper shelf near the corner return (the holes did not align no matter what I tried) but it would up working well without it because I just put her computer monitor there in that gap instead.. Thank goodness I had a good handyman to put the desk together. That is not to say I could have done it myself. After all the pieces were laid out, he realized only one side of the desk had pre drilled holes. The other side was a disaster. Im honestly obsessed with this thing. I was skeptical after reading the reviews - I seriously read every single one, and I have to say it has everything I want. The outlet is really convenient, and the LED strip is made of a thick plastic and super sturdy. I thought it was going to be like a flimsy light strip but its really nice quality actually. The drawers are also way sturdier than I thought theyd be. I shoved a bunch of gaming manuals in the bottom one and you cant even feel the weight. The directions to put it together were incredibly detailed and specific which was super helpful. It took me only like two hours to assemble, and that was AFTER gardening . It has plenty of storage so my gaming setup has room to grow. Its adjustable too, in case I want to change up the configuration later on. This is an excellent piece of furniture.. Alexis. Absolutely love the desk. However I have two complaints. The outlets are a bit hard to use meaning it was rather difficult to plug into and had a lot of resistance to the plug. It did end up going in though after some muscle grease. Theres actually not much room from the distance to the 2nd level (for the monitors) to the end of the desk. I have a long mouspad (approx 37x14 inches) and it wasnt able to completely fit on the desk width wise so a bit is hanging over the edge so beware if you plan to use a larger mousepad.. T. Colorado. Two years later edit: The fake wood top covering (I don't know what to call it) on the desk is flaking off considerably. There's a specific spot where I always put my mug and it's created a little medley of white flaked-off bits. It's not affecting functionality, but it's also not something that can be easily fixed if the appearance bothers you. I don't mind it but it is something to keep in mind. I often use a coaster especially for cold drinks but I think a softer one is required to avoid this. Old review: There is SO much surface space on the desk itself, it could easily hold several monitors. And the drawers add an extra heaping amount of storage space that I almost don't know what to do with it all. Another thing I'll mention is that I'm short and this desk is the perfect height for me.
