Some assembly is required.

I thought this was very pretty as integer earthy, nature themed home decor. Ours arrived with a small debt on the right side but barely visible with paint, decor and furniture, so we kept it rather than return it. These are made in two sizes. We chose the larger one because our fireplace is big, and the focal point of our living room. We like that the door opens, so you don’t have to remove the screen to prepare a fire or cleanup afterward. We also like that the feet are in the front and back, stabilizing the screen. The fireplace screen is exactly what I needed and is exactly what is advertised. It is fairly lightweight so there is no danger of it hurting the little ones but it is sturdy enough to keep them from getting into the fireplace. One oddity that we found was that it came with small feet that can be attached as supports for the back side but it would keep the screen from sitting flush with the wall. After having searched for weeks for a particular size for a fireplace, I was so happy to find this screen which comes in a few sizes. The size is just right and the stability of the braces at the bottom are a good weight. I love that the screen is not divided which obstructs the view of the logs, gas in this case. The one thing that I think they could fix is that at the top where the screen is connected to the frame, there are little staples or screws and there is the tiniest piece of metal that is sharp. It would be good if they could sand, file or somehow eliminate that to eliminate that piece being a slight hazard. I would not return it because of this but you can feel it, although not discern much from the picture below. Moving it, a person could catch the skin on a finger. I have grandchildren, so it is my job to worry about this kind of thing and always avoid the possibility of needing a tetnus shot!
