I needed a new landing table for when you enter my apartment and this console fit the space and the purpose perfectly. My son and I use the bottom shelf for our shoes that we wear the most, the second shelf has decorative doodads and whatnots, and the top serves as my mail holder, purse holder, key holder, everything, and anything holder, from walking in the door and what I need walking out..
