About Amber Lewis

  • New rugs may have slight creases or turned edges due to secure packaging. This can last for a few days. To flatten the edges, place a heavy object on the corners or try reverse rolling the rug.

  • The colors of your rug, and how you perceive them, can vary due to a room’s lighting, decor, and your viewing angle.

  • Rugs made of natural fibers, like wool, tend to shed because of loose yarns and the rug’s settling process. This is most common—and expected—when rugs are new, and usually decreases over time. Feel free to trim as needed. This is not a defect.

  • It’s common for rugs made with natural fibers to acquire a smell during shipping due to moisture. Once the rug is unrolled, the scent will fade after a few days, especially if the room is well ventilated.

  • Immediately remove any spills by blotting with a dry cloth. Regular vacuuming will remove embedded dirt and prolong the life of your rug. We recommend removing the beater bar before vacuuming. For deep cleans, use a professional cleaning service.

When first delivered I was hesitant about the pattern and white base (pattern is printed), but once laid out in my living room, it’s perfect. Colors are green/blue leaning, not red as other photos looked. It is SO soft and cushiony under your feet, way better than “washable” rugs.

    I just received this rug yesterday and absolutely love it! It’s soft and has that “fluffy” feel, without the bulk that a shag rug would give you. The rug is not woven. Don’t let this small compromise deter you from this rug, it has pleasantly surprised me and my family with its look, comfort and quality. The stitching around the edges is nice and tight. It looks to be a fairly sturdy thread that hopefully won’t fray if the vacuum goes over it many times. This isn’t considered to be a washable rug, spot washing is recommended, but it’s not so heavy that you couldn’t come up with another way to clean it at home. Another exciting attribute is the amount of color you can pull out of this rug to accent/compliment other items in your room! Cream, tan, brown, black, blue, pink/rust, green….so many to work with!! One thing I was worried about was that it would be laying on top of carpet. The front legs of my couch and loveseat sit on top of it. There is no “bowing” of the rug at these points of contact. It remains flush with the carpet and will stay put as it is not skid resistant. This rug was delivered rolled and double wrapped with the ends protected, it did not have any noticeable smells. So far, I am highly pleased with it’s appearance, quality and functionality. I definitely recommend!!!!

    After just a couple months we pulled some of the rug out a bit from under the couch to have it cover more visible space, and this is what it looked like. The rug has faded so much in just a couple months. The colors are printed on, not physically there like woven rugs. It is thick but I can feel our tile underneath it still. It’s like a heavy blanket with a rug bottom. The pile feels super soft when you first get it but looses that softness super fast. Also because it’s going for a vintage look, it’s hard to see the design so it just looks like random colors, which makes it look ugly. It’s easily movable like a blanket so we’ve dealt over and over again with it bunching up in a spot when our couch or recliner slightly moves on it. Super annoying having to try to pick up a couch and shove the rug back flat. If I could go back I would’ve just gotten a woven rug on wayfair or something for about the same price.
